#GivingTuesday is finally here! As you know, our backyard is home to the mighty Victoria Falls – one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, and among the most powerful and awe-inspiring forces of nature.
But while the Victoria Falls might be mighty in strength and breathtaking in sheer force, its ecosystem is fragile and vulnerable to many threats.
We work at the heart of this ecosystem, empowering the local communities who call it home and protecting the wildlife and habitat so unique to this region. As the inspiring videos below reveal, we are on the front lines every day, safeguarding this vital environment.
This #GivingTuesday, help us make a difference.
Join us in making an impact as strong and powerful as this mighty waterfall – the “smoke that thunders”.
Here’s one last reminder: if you donate today, your contribution will be matched by a generous donor – doubling your impact, and amplifying our efforts to protect this precious ecoregion.
In celebration of the vital work we do in this landscape, we’re sharing four stories below.

Lions & Human-Wildlife Conflict:
Meet Bongani Dlodlo, our Community Guardian Manager, who works on the front lines of human-lion conflict in the Victoria Falls region. Lions often venture into farmland, leading to attacks on livestock and retaliatory killings by farmers. The survival of lions – and the well-being of farming communities – depends on proactive solutions.
Through early warning communication, our teams can help keep people, livestock and lions safe when lions venture into farmland.
Simple solutions with high impact… donate today, double your impact – and I know that together, we can make a thunderous difference! For Wild Africa Jessica Dawson (CEO) |
