Two months into the New Year and Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust has great hope that this year will be better for everyone. We’ve learned that a lot can happen in a year and when the chips are down, people come through for you.

Between the good, the bad, and the ugly, here is what we did, with your help, to protect Africa’s iconic wildlife, sustain livelihoods and empower rural communities last year. This would not have been possible during these difficult, rewarding and bewildering times without you, the folks who supported us. (Click on the info-graphic below to enlarge.)

Why is this work important? Well, for starters – the IUCN, WHO, and other global leaders have long realized that keeping animals healthy, stopping the spread of zoonotic diseases, and fighting the illegal wildlife trade are meaningful components in stopping future pandemics from occurring.

Fortunately, the world is now elevating these issues. That’s where we come in.

We believe that 2021 will be better and hope that together, and with the support of everyone, we can keep the momentum going!

With sincere thanks for your part in these remarkable achievements,

Jessica Dawson
