Wildlife Forensics: Using Science to Bust Poachers

 In Appeal, News
Friends,
I am delighted to tell you about a brilliant new forensics initiative led by Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust! We’re training wildlife authorities in Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, to be competent skilled first responders to a wildlife carcass, so that rangers can quickly determine cause of death.
THE GOAL: This initiative will allow wildlife authorities to better prosecute poachers by ensuring rapid responses from rangers and law enforcement, and providing more consistent crime scene investigation training throughout the region.
THE NEED: Malicious poisoning of wildlife has been on the rise throughout Africa: hundreds of elephants can be wiped out at waterholes, entire prides of lions can be taken out and vulture populations are declining in unprecedented numbers.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help train 200 rangers throughout the KAZA TFCAWe need your HELP!
